What a Beautiful Morning

We went on Vacation and came back to a dry, dead backyard. Full of plants and trees that were needing some love.

I watered on Wednesday night and Thursday ~ and this morning we woke up to these beautiful bushes just full of purple flowers. We couldn't believe how full they were and ~ well look they are just soooooo dang purple!!! I am not sure of what kind of plant they are but they made me smile this morning. Thank you Mother Nature, Or god, or the backyard hose god..... hehehe

Well Loved

Well I went to a garage sale on Saturday and it was AWESOME!!!

I bought a bunch of old, old, old goodies. The kind that other people want to rip out of your hands, or follow you around waiting for you to put them down. But Sorry I am not the type to let something go!!!

anyways... I thought I would post a picture.

I got another little doll a composition doll ~ shes seems to be made of a plastery cardboard or something ~ I have to figure out how to take some pictures of her ~ shes alllllll broken apart ~ her legs are off and her arms are off and her heads off. she was dressed in a old hand crochet dress so cute!!!

I also got a ton of old, old 1920 and 1930 good house keeping magazines, and "The american" two of them have handpainted indian sketches on the covers. I love indian stuff!!!

the good house keeping magazines all have campbell soup like kids on the covers, and retro pinup type girls.

I got a handful of old tomato and strawberry silk pin cushions, I think I am gonna hold on to them though.

A Good Book

I am reading a book : Woman of a Thousand Secrets

its really, really good ~ I am just a little past the half way mark ~ I haven't read a book in a long time. My mom brought it with her when she came to visit and I picked it up on saturday while laying out in the sun. It was nice to lay in the sun and read. I managed to get a little tan too. (just a little)

Project in the Works

I know, I know........ Where have I been? Busy, and Even More Busier than usual. With my brother, nephew and parents visiting. And just daily life sometimes I cant even find 5 minutes to just say hi to all my followers. (like theres a ton!)

Well, I have been working on a project, Not done with it but itsssssss almost done. Just gotta add a little more to it.

I got a painting in Santa Barbara along time ago ~ real pretty lake scene with swans. Not really my cup of tea, but for some reason me and my mom fell in love with it. In fact its hanging up in her spare room. It was in a pretty frame off white with gold accents ~ solid wood and it had scroll detail on the frame edge. Well I brought the frame with me when I moved to vegas.

I had the frame on the wall with all my Vintage Rhinestone Initial pins ~ my mom took some card board and covered it with black velvet to show them off.

I went to a yard sale one Friday (yep, here they have yard sales friday, saturday and sundays!!! heaven) and found the exact same frame but only smaller. For One Dollar~ who could pass that up? Not me!

I bought it home and decide ~ Both frames need some "jazzin' up!" sooooo, my project is doing exactly that.

2009

Well, My mom reminded me I had to update my Blog.... she was sick of seeing my "I have a headache" which is pretty funny because.... I still have a headache!!!

I can't believe its already February 2009!!!!! Man time flies!!!!

Our christmas was good, cold, and snowy which was really cool for having our first christmas in our new house and having snow in Vegas!!

kids got everything they wanted! little brats!

I cleaned up my craft room a little, then totally messed it up again... there is only a walking space from the door to the computer. (so embarassed!)

I am slllllllllllllowly going through some of my vintage jewelry and bits and pieces. I got stuck playing with a bunch of rhinestone jewelry pieces I had in a huge tin.

I have to clean up my project room and really really follow through with it. (Gulp!!! big project)

Headache!

I have a headache today... but I must go christmas shopping still!!!

I have presents to get, stockings to fill!!
